# Not "games": this package installs a library manager, not a game, and
# lintian's package-section-games-but-contains-no-game is right about that.
# The desktop entry is still categorised Game so it lands in the right menu.

Description: game launcher for Epic, GOG and Amazon using shared Electron
Heroic Games Launcher manages libraries bought from the Epic Games Store, GOG,
and Amazon Games: it browses and searches the store catalogues, installs,
updates, repairs and moves titles, synchronises cloud saves and achievements,
and manages the Wine and Proton versions and prefixes that Windows titles run
in. Native Linux builds are launched directly.
 .
The store clients Heroic drives are retained from the upstream release and
verified against the projects that publish them: legendary for Epic, gogdl and
comet for GOG, and nile for Amazon. Its Vulkan capability helper is compiled
here from pinned upstream sources rather than taken as a prebuilt binary.
 .
Wine or Proton is needed only to run a Windows title; browsing, configuring,
signing in, and managing a library work without either, so neither is a
dependency. Games themselves are downloaded from the stores that sell them and
are not part of this package.
 .
This package contains Heroic's application resources only and launches them
with the separately maintained, version-bounded shared Electron runtime.
