# sharp ships a prebuilt libvips that statically links its entire codec and
# text-shaping stack -- 28 libraries, including expat, freetype, lcms2 and
# mozjpeg. Lintian is right that they are embedded; they cannot be unbundled
# here. The object's soname is upstream's own libvips-cpp.so.8.17.3, Ubuntu's
# libvips42t64 provides libvips-cpp.so.42 at a different version (8.18.0), and
# the only route to Ubuntu's copy is recompiling sharp from source against it,
# which would replace a checksum-pinned upstream binary with a locally built one
# over a different codec set. The trade-off is recorded in full at
# shared-electron/evaluations/ueli.html. The library is private to this package,
# is never on the system linker path, and is not offered to other packages.
